What is Functional Lab Testing?
Here at Be Well Our doctors are clinically-trained experts in advanced functional medicine testing. Functional lab testing is different than the conventional testing that your typical doctor might order because it helps evaluate how well your body is (or isn’t) functioning on a spectrum of health rather than just diagnosing a disease — many people without any diagnosable disease still don’t feel well. Functional medicine testing gives us deeper insight into the root cause(s) of your health challenges so we can help you feel your best even if you have or before you develop a chronic disease.

BLOOD OR URINE TESTS
To screen for or monitor specific conditions such as cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, thyroid disease, Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune diseases, gluten sensitivity, IgG/IgE food and environmental sensitivities, vitamin/nutrient deficiencies, chronic infections, heavy metals and Lyme disease and its co-infections.
ADVANCED COMPREHENSIVE STOOL TESTING
To screen for beneficial bacteria status, pathogenic bacteria, yeast overgrowth, parasites, intestinal inflammatory markers (such as in Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s), dysbiosis, leaky gut, and antibiotic resistant genes.
BREATH TESTING
